The coaches for this years Blast Off video challenge are are great mates of mine and INCREDIBLE surfers with sharp surfing minds & exceptional coaching eyes.
BEAU MITCHELL @beau_mitchell is from the Northern Beaches of Sydney Australia. Beau is someone who I have shared everything I know with (literally!) and trust wholeheartedly to share on with the kids and families of the Blast Off.
PHILIPPE MALVAUX @philippemalvaux is from the Sth West of France and has coached some of the best surfers in the world through his involvement with the @hurley brand, including champions like @rissmoore10 & he absolutely rips!
BRAD GERLACH @waveki is a legend from California. We surfed on the tour together and he is one of the great characters and coaches in surfing today.

I’m Harish from Mahabalipuram and today is my 9th Birthday. Last year my Sister @KamaliSkater entered her video on her 11th Birthday and won the People’s Choice award. Kamali won a camera Hero GoPro7, I used this to film me surfing this summer in Mahabs. Our friends Áine from Ireland and Dedeep helped me to make the 1 minute video. Santhosh my Uncle is my coach and a surfboard shaper too. I was born into a surfing town all my friends are surfers and skaterboarders. I love surfing, I have no fear, it’s the best fun ever. I’m so lucky to have surfing in my life. My mother Suganthi loves to watch me surf and skate, she’s a great support to me and my sister Kamali. I hope you like my video. I also love dancing and drumming. Today is Diwali in India so we are celebrating with firecrackers all over our village on my birthday, it’s a fun day.
The talent just keeps coming
We are discovering the champions of tomorrow here at Blast Off and this young 12yr old Rajo Saputra @rajobarrel from Lakey Peak in Sumbawa Indonesia has a massive future in front of him and we want to help him out. We’re sending Rajo a prize pack from @spyoptic

Brothers Ripping!
Great to have these two Japanese brothers joining us again for this years Blast Off and one of the great things that we’ve experienced is getting to see how much people have improved in 12 months and these guys are no exception 12yr old Taro and 10yr old Yujiro Takai are both on track for big careers in surfing and we are sure inspired by the Olympic Games being in their home country this year.
