She brought the stoke!
We first met this young lady in last years Blast Off Video Challenge and it was one of the highlights for us to connect with kids from India so we sent Kamali P @kamaliskater a @gopro camera from @goproanz and this year her brother used that camera to shoot his video and now we get to see Kamali again and here she is in her own words.
“I’m Kamali from Mamallapuram, India, I’m 12 and this is my 2nd Blast Off!! The best thing about Blast Off is meeting new friends and seeing their surf spots all over the world. I love more than anything to dive into the sea. Last year I won a Hero 7 GoPro Camera, my first camera. Since then I’ve been filming all my adventures skateboarding, cycling, swimming underwater and surfing. I love to do all things for fun and this is a super fun competition. This summer I entered 2 surf competitions, I was the only young girl. My Uncle Santhosh made me a new custom board and coached me. I was nervous, as it’s different to surfing just for fun. But it’s good to learn about the competition and if young girls in India see me surfing and skateboarding they know it’s possible to do. It’s so much fun to surf with girls, we always laugh a lot and cheer each other on, I like to help to inspire and teach other girls in India especially in my village to surf like me, so we can have more fun!!!”
For sharing the stoke we are sending Kamali a prize pack from our good mates at Spy Optics @spyoptic @spyopticaustralia
